Analytics cookies help us understand how people use SaltedSpace — which features are popular, where users encounter errors, and how the platform performs. All analytics data is anonymised before it leaves your device or reaches our servers.

Analytics cookies are opt-in only. They are not set unless you explicitly enable them in your cookie preferences.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party analytics service that tracks users across different websites.

Some third-party services we use may set their own cookies when you interact with specific features:

• Stripe (payment processing): When you visit a subscription or billing page, Stripe may set cookies to support secure payment sessions and fraud prevention. These are subject to Stripe's Cookie Policy.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels from social media networks. SaltedSpace does not participate in cross-site behavioural advertising.

SaltedSpace deliberately does not use advertising tracking cookies. We believe that faith communities deserve a space that is not surveilled for commercial gain.

• No sale of browsing behaviour to data brokers

Our business model is subscriptions — not advertising. Your engagement data is never monetised by showing you targeted ads.

Note: Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to SaltedSpace, as the refresh token cookie is required for authentication.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. SaltedSpace honours this signal by disabling analytics cookies when DNT is active.

Cookies set by SaltedSpace fall into two duration categories:

• Session cookies: Deleted automatically when you close your browser. Used for transient state like CSRF tokens.
• Persistent cookies: Remain on your device for a defined period (7 days to 1 year depending on the cookie). Used for authentication, preferences, and opt-in analytics.

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or change the cookies we use. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
