1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SaltedSpace, including our website, mobile applications, features, products, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and any policies referenced in them.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 14 years old, or the age of digital consent or social media account creation in your jurisdiction, to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you may use the platform only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, you must notify us promptly at <support@saltedspace.com>.

3. User Content (Ownership and License)

You may post, upload, share, transmit, or otherwise make available text, images, videos, audio, comments, messages, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by submitting User Content to the Platform, you grant SaltedSpace a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, promote, and otherwise use the User Content solely for operating, improving, and promoting the Platform.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to engage in unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, harassing, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, violent, exploitative, or otherwise objectionable conduct. You must not upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate others, manipulate platform metrics, spam users, infringe intellectual property rights, or interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.

5. Community Standards and Moderation

Saltedspace uses both AI-assisted and human moderation systems. All contents pass through a proprietary AI-assisted moderation before it is made visible to other platform users. Moderation of content may result in approval, warning, blurring, guidance, or rejection, depending on the compliance of content with the Platform standards.

We may review, remove, restrict, label, demote, or disable access to User Content or accounts that we believe violate these Terms, our community guidelines, or applicable law. We may use automated systems, human review, or both. Moderation decisions may not always be error-free, and users may have the right to appeal certain actions where required by law or offered by the Platform. If you believe a moderation decision was incorrect, you may appeal by contacting support@saltedspace.com

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection, use, storage, and sharing of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its software, design, branding, features, trademarks, logos, and other proprietary materials, is owned by or licensed to SaltedSpace and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the Platform.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications, content, advertisements, or services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

9. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Payments

The Platform offers both free and paid features and subscriptions, advertising products, or other paid services. You agree to pay all applicable fees, taxes, and charges. Unless stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Subscription services may renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SaltedSpace disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, and security.

Contents posted by users represents the views of the users, and not necessarily those of SaltedSpace. Spiritual, moral, or any other form of counsel and advice posted anywhere on the Platform are mainly advisory, and do not constitute professional or legal advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SaltedSpace and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or relating to your use of the Platform.

In no event shall the total aggregate liability of SaltedSpace for all claims, disputes, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the platform exceed the greater of: (a) one hundred U.S. dollars (\$100.00), or (b) the total amount paid by you to SaltedSpace, if any, for the specific services giving rise to the claim during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event initiating liability.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SaltedSpace and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, remove content, or disable your account if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, or used the Platform in a way that may harm other users, the Platform, or third parties. You may stop using the Platform at any time and may request account deletion where available. Your data may be erased within 30 days of the deletion of your account.

14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be resolved in the courts or dispute resolution forum located in Pennsylvania, USA, unless applicable law requires otherwise. You and SaltedSpace agree to first attempt to resolve disputes informally before initiating formal proceedings.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice by reasonable means, such as through the Platform, by email, or by updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court or other authority of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The invalid, void, or unenforceable provision will be deemed modified or severed only to the extent necessary to make these Terms valid and enforceable while preserving the parties' original intent as closely as possible.
